Every request needs an API key, which you can get in the [portal](/portal).

When you call the API from a browser, visitors can see your API key. Limit it to your own domains in the [portal](/portal), or send the requests through your own server so the key stays hidden.

authKey

Deduce a complete or probable address based on incomplete, ambiguous, or partial input.

Returns the distance between a start and a destination postcode. With the `road` algorithm the distance is over the road in meters and includes the car drive time in minutes.

Both postcodes must use the same format, 4 digits or 6 digits. The 6-digit format works up to 5000 m; use the 4-digit format for longer distances.

A sixpp or a fourpp to start calculating from.

fromPostalCode

toPostalCode

Specifies the algorithm for calculating distance and time.

Available Algorithms:
* `straight`: Calculates the distance in a straight line.
* `road`: Calculates the actual traveling distance and time using the drive time matrix (shortest route) over the actual road network.
    * Availability of `road` depends on your subscription level.
    * For trial purposes, this algorithm can be used with any subscription level for the following postcode ranges:
        * `1000-1098`, `1100-1108` (Amsterdam)
        * `3000-3089` (Rotterdam)
        * `5600-5658` (Eindhoven)
